Le Royaume du Maroc accueille le siège du Comité des Capitales Africaines de la Culture
Rabat, le 5 décembre 2024 – Le Royaume du Maroc et le Comité des Capitales Africaines de la Culture ont officiellement signé l’Accord de Siège établissant Rabat comme siège permanent de ce programme continental ambitieux. Cet accord marque une étape décisive pour renforcer la collaboration culturelle et artistique panafricaine et positionner le continent comme un acteur majeur de la création culturelle mondiale.
Lors de cette occasion historique, le Comité des Capitales Africaines de la Culture a tenu une réunion stratégique pour nommer Monsieur Youssef Britel au poste de Président du Conseil d’Administration des Capitales Africaines de la Culture. Ce programme continental, à la croisée des arts, de la culture et du développement durable, vise à désigner, tous les trois ans, une ville africaine comme Capitale Africaine de la Culture, célébrant ainsi la diversité et la richesse culturelle du continent.
Le Comité tient à exprimer sa profonde gratitude au Royaume du Maroc pour son engagement sans faille en faveur de ce projet novateur, et plus particulièrement pour avoir accueilli avec succès la première édition des Capitales Africaines de la Culture à Rabat. Cet événement inaugural a mis en lumière le potentiel extraordinaire des acteurs culturels africains et a permis de poser les bases solides pour les éditions futures.
Avec cet accord et cette nomination, le programme des Capitales Africaines de la Culture poursuit son ambition de structurer les écosystèmes culturels africains, d’encourager la coopération artistique entre les villes du continent et de promouvoir une Afrique fière et créative à l’échelle mondiale.
