Leguide.info : le samedi, 24 février 2024 à Conakry, Lamine Capi Kamara, ancien diplomate guinéen a été honoré de son vivant lors d’une cérémonie organisée par le Le centre d’Innovation et des Recherches pour le Développement (CIRD), une initiative inattendue pour cet homme qui ne s’attendait pas à une telle reconnaissance. Ancien ministre à deux reprises ( Ministre de la Fonction Publique et Ministre des Affaires Étrangères), puis Ambassadeur de la République en France et écrivain, Lamine Capi Kamara a été salué pour sa carrière remarquable par les témoignages recueillis lors de la cérémonie. Cette reconnaissance de son vivant représente un moment important pour l’homme qui a contribué de manière significative à la vie diplomatique et culturelle de la Guinée et qui a été prisonnier politique sous le règne du Premier Président de la République le Camarade Ahmed Sékou Touré. Il a dix ouvrages à son actif.
Pour rendre l’événement mémorable le CIRD a réuni la sommité de l’intelligentsia guinéen pour célébrer l’écrivain Capi Kamara. Des élèves ou étudiants, des anciens ministres et même trois anciens premiers ministres viennent témoigner de l’apport du doyen Capi. Le CIRD n’a pas eu du mal à réunir ce beau monde car le passé de l’homme plaide en sa faveur. Vivre cet instant est magique. Être célébré à titre anthume n’arrive pas tous les jours et à tout le monde. L’homme des lettres sait comment remercier cet acte. Bannir la culture de l’humiliation et encourager la reconnaissance du mérite est le conseil à titre de cette cérémonie d’hommage à Lamine Capi Kamara.
